Um abraço nosso,
Com Invisible atlas, a artista foca-se na relação e na participação do público, orquestrando nesta leitura colectiva de “cartas”, uma mudança de significado. Efectivamente, os visitantes são convidados a responder às suas “cartas” e assim a tornar-se não só destinatários, mas também remetentes e actores na sua obra.
Deste modo, completa-se o ciclo de dar e receber que dá vida a uma verdadeira comunicação circular - que vai e vem.
Queridos(as) amigos(as),
Convido-vos a responderem às minhas cartas. Aguardo respostas de todas as maneiras e feitios mas proponho-vos esta:
1 - Olhando para o mapa, escolham um vosso lugar: onde nasceram, onde cresceram, onde viveram, onde vivem, de onde vieram, onde comeram, onde beberam, onde nunca estiveram, onde querem ir, etc. UM lugar que vos fale.
2 - Agarrem o lugar nas vossas mãos. Tirem-no do mapa.
3 - Enviem esse lugar para mim. Ponham-no dentro da caixa. É uma encomenda para Veneza.
4 - Em Veneza, vou unir os vossos lugares aos meus. Vou reinventar o mapa e contruir o meu-nosso mapa. Uma Europa sem limites nem fronteiras. Um mapa feito de Pessoas.

With Invisible atlas, the artist is focused on the relationship and participation of the visitors, orchestrating in the reading of “letters”, a change of meaning. Actually, the visitors are invited to reply to her “letters” and to become not only receivers but also senders and actors in her artwork.

I invite you to reply to the letters I’ve been sending you. I am waiting for all types of answers but now I suggest you this one:
1 - Looking at the map, choose one place that you consider yours: a place that is dear for you, where you were born, where you grew older, where you lived, where you live, from where you are, where you ate, where you drunk, where you have never been, where you want to go, etc. I A place that speaks to you.
2 - Hold the place in your hands. Take it out of the map.
3 - Send that place to me. Put it inside of the box which is an order for Veneice.
4 - In Venice, I will put your places right next to mine. I will recreate and reinvent the map to construct OUR map. An Europe without limits or borders. A map made out of people.
